Celebrity agent Carl Gambino continued to pad his ranks, revealing two additions each to his Los Angeles and New York rosters.
The Gambino Group at Compass said it brought on Heather Marks and Kevin Milkis in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the team added Leila Licina and Margaret Lewis in New York.
The additions had been expected after Gambino confirmed to The Real Deal last month the team was in negotiations with four individuals, although he declined to name them at the time. The team’s headcount now sits at 26.
The new agents come as the group looks to Westchester, Hudson Valley and Palm Beach for further expansion. Markets currently served by the group include Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, New York City and Long Island’s North Fork and Hamptons.
Elsewhere in Los Angeles and Orange counties, it was a relatively quiet month for agent recruiting. Still, a few brokerages had room to expand:
➤ Nourmand & Associates scooped up former Hilton & Hyland agent Sydney Shand. Shand’s business is focused on Beverly Hills, northeast Los Angeles and Pasadena.
➤ Another addition to the Nourmand & Associates team is former TRG Realty Company’s Aleks Gorski, whose business is focused on Hollywood, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Highland Park, Eagle Rock and other neighborhoods on the Eastside.
➤ In Compass’ Calabasas office, husband-and-wife team Robb and Nikki Friedman made the move to rejoin the brokerage. The two sold more than $28 million last year and were previously with Keller Williams. The Friedmans specialize in Hidden Hills among other high-end markets.
➤ Compass picked up 18-year veteran Kevin Enriquez for its Newport Beach office. Enriquez was most recently with Westcoe Realtors and sold nearly $24 million in real estate over the past year.
➤ Other additions to Compass Newport Beach include mother-and-son duo Luis Arellano and Yolanda De La Isla. The former Re/Max New Dimension agents sold $22 million of real estate last year and have a combined 30 years of experience selling in Southern California.
➤ In the South Bay, Compass scooped up Jessica Abbott to join its Hermosa Beach office. Abbott previously ran a fitness and yoga brand she founded before getting into real estate three years ago. Sales this year so far total $16.5 million, with Abbott hoping to bring that figure up to $30 million.
