Jonathan Mogharrabi and Marci Kays landed at brokerage Carolwood Estates in April with a big splash.
As a team, they served as the listing agents for Brad Pitt’s $33 million home in Los Feliz in April, according to media reports. The transaction was wrapped up in non-disclosure agreements. Mogharrabi and Kays did not confirm or deny their involvement.
Their unnamed partnership has a focus on entertainment clients and celebrities. Mogharrabi represented the president’s son Hunter Biden in a deal for a 2020 rental. Kays represented Yolanda Hadid in 2017 when the ex-wife of developer Mohammed Hadid sold a condo.
Both previously worked at The Agency. One of Kays’ jobs at The Agency was selling condos at the Four Seasons Private Residences Los Angeles.
“Jonathan has over 10 years experience, and I have over 20 myself,” Kays said in a statement. “With our combined network of existing clients that we’ve carefully built over the years, we felt that a boutique firm with an emphasis on discretion and direct support would elevate our brand and approach.”
They will work out of Carolwood Estates’ Beverly Hills headquarters.
Peter Zimble also recently moved to affiliate with Carolwood Estates. He will specialize on the neighborhoods of Beverly Hills and Brentwood. Zimble’s significant deals include a $30 million sale for 9425 Sunset Boulevard. where he represented the buyers, At separate times, Madonna and the founder of the Rockstar Energy Drink brand, Russell Weiner, dwelled at the estate. Zimble also represented buyers in a 2020 deal for Priscilla Presley’s $13 million mansion in Beverly Hills.
Also moving to Carolwood Estates is Stephen Sigoloff, who formerly worked at Compass. He ranked in the 2021 Real Trends Small Teams list with sales volume of about $47 million. Agent Nick Spiro will work with Sigoloff. Before working in real estate, Sigoloff worked as a photographer and published in glossy magazines such as Esquire and Vogue.
➤Moving to Hilton & Hyland is the Pam Lumpkin Real Estate Group. Pam Lumpkin and her team of two agents represented the buyer in the $18 million deal for 3000 Benedict Road, located in Beverly Hills Post Office enclave in February. The team most recently worked with Compass.
Also moving to Hilton & Hyland is Kate Newton. In November, she represented Atlanta Hawks star Rayford “Trae” Young in a deal to buy a $20 million mansion in Calabasas, according to media reports. She declined to comment on the deal. She’ll concentrate on neighborhoods such as Hidden Hills, Calabasas, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Beverly Hills and Sunset Strip. She most recently worked with Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices California Properties.
Cassandra Bloore has affiliated with Hilton & Hyland. She formerly worked with Compass. She will sell properties in Malibu, South Bay, Brentwood, Santa Monica and throughout the Westside.
Other new faces at Hilton & Hyland are Kyle Amicucci, who previously worked with Side, and Mario Reithaar who previously was affiliated with Pinkham Estates. Amicucci and Reithaar will work with the Paul Salazar Group at Hilton & Hyland.
➤Monica Villalobos has joined Ernie Carswell & Associates at Douglas Elliman. Villalobos will work with Carswell’s team in Orange County. The four-person group will be based at Douglas Elliman’s Newport Beach office. They will focus on neighborhoods such as Coto de Caza, Newport Beach’s Balboa Peninsula and the beach cities such as Laguna Beach.
James Likens is another recent addition to Carswell & Associates. He formerly worked for Globl Red, and will work out of Carswell’s Beverly Hills office. Likens will sell in Studio City and Beverly Hills.
➤Gina Miramontes recently affiliated with The Kristin Halton Group at Douglas Elliman. Miramontes will focus on San Fernando Valley neighborhoods such as Sherman Oaks, Encino and Studio City. She formerly worked with Coldwell Banker Realty.
➤Darlene Hutton has affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty’s Pacific Palisades office. She was a founding member of Partners Trust, a firm which was acquired by Compass in 2018. A few years later, Hutton joined Avenue 8 and served as executive director of its Luxury Estates division. Hutton said she moved to Coldwell Banker to participate in the company’s Global Luxury network program.
➤RS Home Source team has moved to The Beverly Hills Estates, The move includes team founders, the husband-and-wife team Ryan and Stacie O’Connor, as well as team member Brian Benyamin. The RS Home Source team will concentrate on Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Calabasas and Malibu.
Another new face at The Beverly Hills Estates will be Chris Marsh, who will focus on Malibu, the Valley and Beverly Hills.
➤Carrie Eckert recently moved to Nourmand & Associates. She will specialize in the neighborhoods of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, West Hollywood and Hollywood Hills. Eckert most recently worked for Sotheby’s International Realty.
Other recent moves include Abdo Pierre Faissal, who affiliated with Nourmand & Associates as a broker associate. He formerly worked with Huntington Group. Before working in real estate, he worked as a project manager on construction sites for projects such as Pendry Hotel & Residences West Hollywood.
Temy Klevens also recently moved to Nourmand & Associates. She formerly owned and managed beauty and fashion brands. Klevens will focus on Beverly Hills and West L.A.
➤Anna Bilan Vogelsang has affiliated with Amalfi Estates. She will sell family homes in West L.A. She most recently worked at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.
➤Daniel Taylor recently moved to Compass’ Newport Beach office. He will focus on probate real estate. He was most recently affiliated with The CREM Group, which also focuses on probate real estate.
