During these troubling times, it’s important to give back to your community in any capacity possible. Here’s a list of ways you can help, along with necessary sign-up links and organization information.

Where & When To Drop Off Donations:

 

Los Angeles Mission 

Locations: 351 S Anderson St, Los Angeles (Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 4pm); 316 Winston St, Los Angeles (Saturday, 8am - 4pm)

Accepts new and gently used clothing for men, women, and children. Emphasizes the need for larger sizes (XL, XXL, XXXL). Requests for new undergarments; used undergarments are not accepted. Downtown Women's Center

Location: 442 S San Pedro St, Los Angeles (appointment only, make one here: https://downtownwomenscenter.org/donate-goods/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

Accepts new and gently used women's, men's, and unisex clothing in sizes XS – 3XL. Clothing must be freshly laundered within two weeks of donation. It's Bigger Than Us - LA 

Location: 4308 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles (drop-offs accepted 10am - 5pm daily)

Accepting new items ONLY at this time. Items needed include new clothing (all ages and sizes), bottled water, hygiene & feminine products, books & toys, comfort items, bedding, blankets, towels, non-perishable snacks, baby supplies.

LA Food Bank 

Location: 1734 East 41st Street 1734 East 41st Street

Food/non-food donations are accepted Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm & Saturday, 8am - 3pm

Items being accepted: Non-food items: Deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, waterless shampoo, phone chargers (battery pack), socks, mittens (gloves), hand warmers, beanies, blankets. YMCA centers across Los Angeles need help with organizing donations and compiling care packages with hygiene products. The center is also looking for drivers to deliver resources to Pacific Palisades residents.

Best Friends Animal Society is accepting applications to volunteer for a variety of tasks, including fostering animals, transporting animals, onsite cleaning assistance, pet food pantry help, and more.

Location: 5939 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, 7 days a week.

You must sign up to volunteer. Prepare and serve meals to people experiencing homelessness or receive and distribute food to nonprofits affected by fires.

The Baby2Baby organization works to provide vulnerable children and their families with diapers, food, formula, and more essentials. Your donation will help the Pasadena Humane organization purchase medical supplies and other resources as they start to see a significant increase in the number of burned and injured animals coming to their shelter.
