Luxury Orange County veteran agent Jacqueline Thompson’s calling card got a big makeover.
Coldwell Banker Realty wooed the power agent from Surterre Properties, where she had been growing her namesake business Jacqueline Thompson Group since 2006.
The agent brings career sales in excess of $2.3 billion to the brokerage’s Newport Beach office, in addition to team members Carly Bryan and Bill Thompson.
The group focuses on Newport Coast, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Corona del Mar.
After two decades in the business, Thompson’s name is on plenty of deals. That includes the 2021 sale of coastal OC’s priciest lot sale at the time in the 11,000-square-foot 6 Ritz Cove in Dana Point. Thompson represented the seller in the all-cash, $14.3 million deal.
Thompson’s also built an enviable business in Irvine’s upscale Shady Canyon neighborhood, where she’s closed over $1.4 billion in sales. That figure includes her most recent listing at 32 Sage Creek, which traded in March about 1 percent over ask to $13.1 million.
Thompson wasn’t the only agent to make a move over the past month. Here’s who other brokerages nabbed across their offices in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
➤ Travis Wayne made the jump to the Compass Pasadena office from Ashby & Graff, bringing with him Elizabeth Ryan.
Wayne ended 2024 with $20 million in sales volume and has a business focused on single-family homes in Pasadena and Joshua Tree. He also brings expertise in home staging and interior design.
➤ René Wiebensohn is back at Compass. Wiebensohn rejoins the brokerage from The Agency and is based out of the firm’s Highland Park office. She brings a business concentrated around northeast L.A. and closed last year with $25 million in sales.
➤ John Iglar made a return to Douglas Elliman and its Beverly Hills office. Iglar most recently had his license at Side and before that, was with Elliman from 2017 to 2022.
The veteran Los Angeles-area agent has a penchant for historic Hollywood homes and neighborhoods. That includes his role as listing agent when Nickelback bassist Mike Kroeger paid $3.8 million in 2018 for a Hollywood Hills home originally owned by “Dracula” actor Bela Lugosi.
➤ Matthew Porter made the jump to Nourmand & Associates from Keller Williams. Porter’s business is focused on Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, West Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silver Lake and downtown.
➤ Carolinne Wittlin is now with Nourmand & Associates as private client adviser of commercial and estates. Wittlin joined the brokerage from Boxer Property Management, where she served as new business development manager.
Among her recent closings was February’s $6.7 million sale of 530 South Westgate Avenue in Brentwood. Wittlin held the listing with broker Todd N. Early, while Nourmand & Associates’ Rochelle Maize represented the buyer.
➤ Nourmand & Associates also picked up a few newcomers to the industry. That includes Lise Drouilly, who was most recently marketing director at luxury eyewear brand Jacques Marie Mage. Drouilly has also served as marketing director at Breitling and public relations and events manager for LVMH’s Tag Heuer Latin America and Caribbean business.
Drouilly is focused on Los Angeles’ Eastside.
Meanwhile, Ryan Gawartin’s business at Nourmand & Associates is concentrated in Mar Vista-Palms, Culver City and neighboring areas.
Gawartin comes to the brokerage with a decade of experience in digital advertising, managing campaigns from start to finish.
➤ The Agency scooped up long-time Coldwell Banker Realty broker Benjamin Lee. The licensed attorney is now part of The Agency’s Beverly Hills office. Lee, who focuses on the Westside, was with Coldwell Banker Realty from 2018 up until earlier this month.
