Remembering John Aaroe - A Real Estate Icon

I was in college at USC the first time I met John Aaroe. He was speaking on a residential real estate panel alongside my dad and several other brokerage leaders. It was a formal evening at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel, moderated by Steve Soboroff. John made an indelible impression that night.

John was a class act—handsome and charismatic. He had a commanding presence and was one of the true pioneers of the luxury residential real estate market. He made it fashionable and cool to sell real estate, long before the era of reality TV and social media.

John belongs on the Mount Rushmore of residential brokerage. He built two highly successful companies during his tenure, and when he accompanied one of his agents on a listing appointment, it was game over.

John was a gentleman I deeply admired. He will be dearly missed.

May his memory be a blessing.

Respectfully,
Michael Nourmand
