A suburban neighborhood located in the center of the San Fernando Valley, Van Nuys is filled with southwestern style single-story homes and the area prides itself on it’s unhurried lifestyle. Independent markets and bodegas make up the urban landscape of Van Nuys. Residents pride themselves on the areas strong Central and South American ties. Van Nuys is defined by it’s old school feel with Van Nuys Blvd hosting large flea markets and family run shops. The area is also fast becoming a transportation hub for the Valley with Amtrak’s Surfliner and Orange bus line accessible by residents. Housing options are either older California bungalows or simple apartment buildings. School options are high. Though it may not be as glamorous as it’s neighbors, Van Nuys is a great option for those looking to get more for their money.
