Meet Paul

Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned investor, Paul understands that buying or selling a home is a pivotal moment in the story of one’s life.

Educated at Harvard, UCLA, and Colorado College, Paul has over 20 years of experience at the intersection of Design and Entertainment. Born in Kenya and raised in Santa Barbara, Paul is a fourth generation Angeleno whose keen eye for design was nurtured by his grandfather, an LA architect.

In 2000, Paul purchased Morgan House (c. 1917) designed by Irving Gill, one of the founders of California modernism. Renovating it inspired Paul to pursue a master’s degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, where he focused on real estate development and urbanism. Irving Gill’s indoor/outdoor sensibility and careful consideration of natural light was tailored specifically to fit its inhabitants into both the home and California’s Mediterranean climate. And it informs Paul’s goal to do the same with every client and find a unique equivalent in a home of their own.

As a former producer focused on large-scale event production, he relishes employing his hard-won talents to navigate today’s complex and swiftly-paced real estate market: exercising patience and decisiveness; listening intently and paying attention to details; problem solving, managing expectations, and negotiating win-win deals. And his first-hand experience of years of restoration and renovation make him uniquely qualified to identify opportunities for renovation, or help buyers to avoid them.

Paul co-founded RockCorps, the Emmy® award-winning international pro-social production company that harnesses music and culture to inspire action and has emboldened hundreds of thousands of volunteers globally. He donates time as a docent at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House. Paul loves adventure, traveling with a purpose, getting deep into nature, yoga, and art openings.
