Mark is knowledgeable and patient and really talks through everything with his clients during the home purchasing process. He represented my mother in the purchase of her condo and represented me and my husband in the purchase of our home. He listens to what the client has to say and is not pushy is any way. He offers lots of tips and pieces of advice. He is very responsive to all emails, texts, and phone calls.

So far my family has bought two houses through Mark, one for my sister and one for myself. Both times Mark has been incredibly patient and basically held our hands through the entire process for us first time home owners. Never was there a time I felt hesitant or uncomfortable asking Mark a question, as stupid as I thought the question might be. Mark was very thorough in his research and quickly became tuned into what kind of properties we were looking for. I highly recommend Mark and will continue to call upon his services in the future.

Before we met Mark, my fiancee and I had been looking for a home for over a year. In a tough market with more buyers than sellers, we worked with several realtors who were not able to find what we were looking for. A friend of mine mentioned Mark quite some time ago but it had slipped my mind. Now our only wish is that we contacted him sooner. As soon as we spoke on the phone and he had an idea of what we wanted, he immediately started working on doing the research that fit our specific criteria. The next day he had 13 listings for us that he thought would fit what we were looking for. After some back and forth discussions, we narrowed it down to about 5, and started scheduling appointments to go see them that weekend. On our first day of checking out different homes, we fell in love with the first one we saw. Just to make sure, we looked at the rest of the properties on our list to compare. Nope, it was that first one. On Monday we put in an offer and a few days later we found out that out of several offers ours was the one accepted. Woohoo! So we thought. As we took the next steps there were issues with the appraisal and the seller, but Mark helped us navigate through it all. Throughout the process Mark was on top of things and handled everything smoothly. His communication was on point and he was able to keep us grounded despite us not always agreeing with the seller. In the end, we closed on our dream home and we couldn't have done it without Mark. Although we understand our situation was rare in terms of loving the first home we saw and getting our offer accepted, Mark's patience and willingness throughout our process left a great impression on us. We highly recommend him and will be contacting him again for our next purchase.

Mark is exceptionally thorough. He is a wonderful counselor and advised us on all of our options and helped us negotiate such outstanding deals, we've been doing all of our listing and purchasing for several years ever since -- both our home and our investment properties. We worked with him for nearly a year on our first home acquisition, so we naturally had an avalanche of questions on a daily basis. Mr. Walker had a difficult job with an reluctant seller (that was me!). But he got my home sold within 30 days with a minimal amount of hassle and a profitable conclusion. Then came the hard part...finding an apartment that was within my price range, near my job and one that could handle my mobility issues. He found one that met all those requirements and I signed the lease, but oh, there was a hiccup. The former tenant wasn’t able to move out by my move in date. The search for a new place began in earnest. Mr. Walker sent frequent emails of available spots for me to evaluate and even drove me around to a few. After finding a nice place and almost starting the application process (thanks, Mr. Walker, for paying the credit check fee!) the original place became available! Mr. Walker handled the reworking of the lease including certain costs absorbed by the new landlord (storage and accommodation fees), and also helped with last minute move in questions ( per So Cal Edison - “we can’t turn on the electricity because there is no such unit number in our records” aargh! ). Now I’m happily settled in my apartment, enjoying a much shorter commute to work, as well as convenient, “sore joint friendly” locations of my parking spot to the elevator, just steps from my new front door. Frequently, I will read an outstanding review of a service professional, and I'm sure it was written by a mom or indebted relative. I am neither. I was struggling to find acceptable L.A. housing prior to an impending move from Illinois to L.A. Mark was referred to me by a fellow Illinois law student and Mark's childhood friend. I recall asking would a realtor be appropriate to assist in a lease? Yes! In L.A. leasing can a quagmire. Mark exceeded our expectations through complex issues surrounding the sale of a problematic property. I worked with Mark recently to sell a building. I was impressed with Mark from our first meeting and only became more impressed over time. He was informative and easy to work with. He knows the business inside and out and makes things easy. The building that was sold was owned by my sister and me. The building is in LA, my sister lives in Ithaca, NY and I live in San Francisco. It was not an issue Mark handled everything to make it work seamlessly. We had multiple offers to choose from as he marketed the property extremely well. He is a true professional. I will tell a story. We need my Mom to fill out some forms. My Mom is 86 and has never been easy to get along with. Mark went over met with my Mom and the notary and handled everything. On leaving my Mom said if you come back you need to bring me candy. Mark asked what kind do you like and she said See's. We did not think anything of it as we would not need anything else signed by my Mom. Well it turned out we needed an additional form signed. Mark showed up with the paperwork. The first thing my Mom said when she opened the door is where is my candy. Mark handed her a box of See's candy and said you said you like See's. It was amazing. My Mom is one of Mark's biggest fans and that says a great deal. I can not recommend Mark enough. We have two other properties that we will be selling over time and we will only be working with Mark to sell them.
