A graduate of Rutgers University, John comes to Nourmand from the financing side of real estate having worked as a mortgage loan officer both with a direct lender and a mortgage brokerage. In this line of work, John has developed the unique ability to communicate with the many professionals who are integral parts of the home buying process including principals, agents, appraisers, HOAs, and lenders. With this unique perspective, John is often able to anticipate problems before they happen and ensure that his buyers are well prepared to navigate the fast-paced offer and escrow periods in order to have a successful closing. Conversely, sellers can rest assured that they are receiving the most thorough perspective when they are evaluating offers. Loyalty, honesty, integrity, and precise communication are his strongest assets. John is no stranger to attending to the competing needs of multiple voices at once as he is the eldest of six children, and therefore has been negotiating nearly his entire life!
A native of New Jersey, John has lived in Los Angeles for 17 years and is proud to be a homeowner in the most competitive and exciting real estate market in the country. An avid backpacker, John, and his husband fashion photographer Connor Clayton have summited the peaks of Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, the Eastern Sierra, the Appalachian trail, and the Smoky Mountains occasionally with their 2-year-old German Shepard/Rottweiler Mix, Cooper. More recently in his spare time, John can be found cheering on soccer practice, ballet lessons, and scooter races as he is the father to three beautiful, engaging, energetic, and wildly smart young girls. Active in his community, John is a proud volunteer with the program “Forever Friends” where he currently mentors foster youth who are living in group homes, providing friendship, advice, encouragement, and support in the hopes that these young men are best positioned to enter adulthood and go on to lead prosperous and productive lives.
