John Kostrey is not only recognized as a perennial top producer. He has established himself as someone who is trustworthy and has integrity – someone who cares, deeply listens, and forms genuine and lasting relationships. John's concierge-level service approach found its perfect complement in superstar agent Jennifer Eckert, notably her high energy, charisma, and unparalleled dedication to excellence. Together, John and Jen have partnered with The Kostrey + Eckert Collection to create an unstoppable team that continues to produce unmatched results for the highly-valued and unique clients they serve.
Before forming a partnership with Jen, John and his fabulous team of professionals, known then as The Kostrey Collection, established themselves as top-producing agents in Los Angeles. Working in tandem with the incredible and indelible Katharine Deering, John, and the team were recognized year after year as #1 at the Keller Williams Larchmont and Los Feliz brokerage offices.
Recently launched as The Kostrey + Eckert Collection, the new partnership remains under the esteemed banner of the boutique brokerage Nourmand & Associates. As leaders of The Kostrey + Eckert Collection, John, Jen, and Katharine could not be more thrilled with the rebranding as they continue to receive national recognition as an elite Los Angeles real estate group.
John and his family live in the hills of Silver Lake, loving its accessibility to family-friendly playgrounds, the beauty of Griffith Park and the Reservoir, and stunning views of the Observatory. Prior to becoming a real estate broker, John was a corporate attorney representing major clients such as The LA Times, E! Online, Comedy Central, CBS/Viacom, NBC-Universal, Discovery, HBO, and CNN in 1st Amendment, media, and entertainment matters. He is a graduate of both the USC School of Law and Northwestern University. John is an active member and competitor at the Los Angeles Tennis Club. With a strong belief in the importance of "giving back," he is also very devoted to the Los Angeles animal rescue community and supports a number of local charitable organizations, such as Covenant House California, A Thousand Joys, Elizabeth House, Western Center on Law and Poverty, and My Friend's Place.
